God desires us to have softened hearts. Because those are the only kind He can work with, the kind that are able to be molded. The ones that He can engrave His name upon. Hearts that are softened to compassion, love, and grace; to every person, in every situation. Hearts that are pure, submitted, and surrendered to Him in every way. He wants our hearts above all else, because this is where we harbor the deepest of places within ourselves. May He search our hearts and find only His ways, His words, and His love.

"And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh."
-Ezekiel 11:19

"You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men; clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart."
-2 Corinthians 2:2-3

So true. God would you give us soft hearts. Would our pride be shattered. I love that verse you wrote:
"You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men; clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart."
-2 Corinthians 2:2-3
Let us leave a leagcy of righteousness. Bless you daughter of God.

I love that verse in 2 Corinthians. It can be so easy to have all the knowledge, but the heart cannot be hidden from God - He can't be fooled.

It's so futile to try and keep living a life with Him without our hearts truly surrendered and submitted. We need to live a life not only with Him, but for Him, and with only His intentions in mind.
