An interesting thing happened to me yesterday. On the phone with my very Catholic grandpa, he asked me why he always hears me speak of God, but never of Jesus. I can easily brush this away as another one of his Catholicism-isms, but wise advice tells me to do otherwise. Because if God is really in everything, He is speaking through everything as well. So if I always speak of God, but never of Jesus, what does that mean? I can pretty easily grasp the concept of a big faraway God who sits on a throne and dictates everyday life. Yet I'm not so good with the Person of Jesus Christ, the One who personally died to save me, and now lives within me. When your life becomes grafted into His, and vice versa, you can't help but say His name all the time.
Please pray for me.
