"And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in stresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
-2 Corinthians 12:9-10
Nothing is so strong as gentleness. Nothing is so gentle as real strength.
-St. Frances de Sales
I am weak, then I am strong. Then He is strong in me. There is a lot of junk we face in our lives. Whether it's with us, our family, our friends, our schools; whatever. It can seem like a lot, and I'm positive we can't do it alone. Yet, His grace allows and requires us to overcome every obstacle, while completely trusting in His heart, even when we cannot trace His hand. Thank You, Lord, for Your grace.

Weak then strong! What an oxymoron. Not! that is such wisdom for us all. If we would understand how little we are without God, wow God would move.
I love that GOd is doing such an amazing transforming work in you. You are a huge encouragement to me despite the few times I may tell you that. For real! You challenge me to get close to God and you are so full of Hunger for truth. I love that about you. Oh and thanks for callin me dawg on my last post home slickett. LOve
I call it the grace bubble, cos that is what it feels like to me.
May 2009 be a year infused and transformed by grace, within us and without...
The LORD bless you, Sarah.
Yeah! Like in the brother Yun comic they were talking about casting out the demon and they couldn't so they gave up and in their weakness God cast the demon out! I thought that was so awesome. What a good reminder of how small we are. Our strength comes from Him alone!
Geez louise, sarah, I'm so proud of you. I'm so encouraged at how faithful you have been and you have really shown the transforming work of the LORD in your life! You shine His glory because you've overcome so much and it is truely amazing. You make me want to go deeper into Him. His work in you even convicts me. I'm so thankful to be your friend and to have someone like you to learn from and grow with...and dance with! Haha
I'm just glad we're friends i love you!
p.s. i hope all my terrible punctuation doesn't drive you nuts!
I will work on that...starting now!
I believe that verse is incredible, because it talks not only about Christ being with us, but His actual power being upon us - it isn't just us giving in to our weakness so He can work in our lives. It is us realizing who we are so that He may take over and show His true strength. How powerful!
I love how God works through these sort of statements. One of my favorite things to pray is "break us, so you may then mold us." I think that goes hand in hand with this idea.
