Yesterday night's prayer was awesome. We all met in Lazaro's house and spent some time in adoration before praying over some people. Lazaro had a word from the Lord for me about being set free from fear, which was right on target.
Today I did the devotion in the morning in (mostly) Spanish! And then I attempted to translate for John during the devotion for the kids. We had 2 review sessions before we taught the words to a new group. My 2nd review group was a lot of fun because the girls were so sharp that they reviewed really quickly and we played some games that I didn't understand for a while. One of them was to say good attributes about a rock? Such as "oh beautiful rock, courageous rock, etc." I dunno. Then we played a game of Scrabble (the guys don't like the game because I always win, but they continue to challenge me to play...) It rained for a long time and I spent a really wonderful time in prayer. I haven't felt Christ like that in a long time... it was wonderful. My leg has been hurting really bad today for some reason and when Glendy came over to show us how to cook beans, she laid me down on the bed and pummeled me. I mean, she literally punched and slapped at it. It was awesome, hahah. Pastor Mike said I'm very special for letting her do that. We're making rice and beans for dinner tonight, then taking it over to Lazaro's house to have dinner with their family. Then there's a devotion for the worship team that I think we're going to because Pastor Mike is leading it.
It has been a really wonderful day. Most of afternoons here we're stuck inside because of the rain, and it makes us all a little funny. We've become like a weird little family unit of awesomeness. Our conversations can jump from Judges chapter 11 to me putting red lipstick on, and after a long time of silence, Pastor Mike can randomly start talking about Gideon and the 2nd coming of the Lord. Through all of our silliness (like right now, John keeps coming in the room with a cane and hitting the wall, while they're trying to make rice to cries of "now we have two dirties!", I don't know what that means by the way), Christ remains the center. It is a great environment to be in, and I am so blessed to be in it. (John is now balancing the cane on his forehead and chin.) I'm going to have to check on the rice now, because I don't know what they did to it. :)

Let's bring some of that "operating as a family" business back here! So sad how that can often be much more difficult in the American culture with an American mindset.
I agree. And I will!
