Moving Beyond

JonMark, Lisa, Anastasia, Alicia and I are all doing the 40 day fast, and already we're seeing results. Yesterday was "Administrator's Day". Everyone minus Alicia (because she goes to Seminole) went up to the office after school yesterday and wrote letters to our administrators asking them what we could pray for them for and telling them we were praying for them anyways. We left the letters in their mailboxes. After that, Lisa and I visited my math teacher. She's been my math teacher for the past three years, and we've never gotten along well. I've never really respected her and she's always kind of picked on me. I apologized to her for everything and she hugged me and I asked her how I could pray for her. She told me, and also said she would be praying for my fibromyalgia! When I got home, I emailed SpiritFM about what had happened and they shared it on the radio! God is so good.

Today was "Forgiveness Day", and I wrote a bunch of letters asking for forgiveness from people at school for things like gossiping, meanness, and throwing things (eeek). I also wrote a very special one to my dad, asking for forgiveness for not being Christlike to him. Lately, every night, I sit down and talk to him about his day. Then I get up, hug him, and tell him I love him. The first time I did this I hugged him for the first time in a couple years! It was huge.

Getting out of myself and into God, into OTHERS, feels so right.
